PART-TIME MARKETING INTERN
(6 Month Intern with opportunity to become permanent)

Effective Date: February 2025

Reports To: Manager/CEO & Marketing Coordinator and Business
Supervises: N/A
Salary Grade: Negotiable
Status: Non-Exempt

Position Summary
The Marketing Intern is responsible for coordinating CU marketing projects and acting as additional support for the coordination of projects/events related to all departments.

Overall Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Promote the mission, products, services and image of CU on a continuing basis to all personnel, members, volunteers, vendors, and the community at-large.
• Support the vision of the Board of Directors and Manager/CEO by working cooperatively and cohesively on service and operational matters with the marketing coordinator and business development office, the management teams and fellow employees.
• Consistently meet established business plan/marketing plan and scorecard strategies.
• Coordinate and implement marketing projects, ensuring proper approval processes, and ensuring projects are completed on budget and on time.
• Manage vendor relationships with public relations and media purchasing, including press releases, television, newspaper, and social media. Monitor adherence to approved content and placement with all advertising and public relations entities.
• Provide copywriting, proof-reading, and design editing for advertisements, direct mail, and public relations productions.
• Technical ability to pick up new and emerging technology.
• Maturity to work independently and travel to credit union membership areas.
• Manage relationships with vendors to design artwork for all CU projects including media development, print projects, newsletters, branch merchandising, and advertising, including social media.
• Cross-train and assist with marketing research and database projects, including direct mail lists and programs, e-statements and e-mail marketing programs, and monthly report generation.
• Prepare proofs for Manager/CEO and marketing coordinator.
• Take the initiative to improve processes as needed.
• Accept other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use a keyboard (including repetitive motions with hands, fingers, arms, etc.). The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms, to communicate effectively, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Vision may be corrected within normal range. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
• Computer Skills: Must be able to proficiently utilize a personal computer, related peripheral equipment and applicable software. At a minimum, applicants must be able to use Microsoft Office, Canva and/or Adobe Design Suite.
