The Security Committee focuses on the safe and clean components of the BID such as cooperative security program, Neighborhood Night Out, the security grant program and more. The Security Committee meets every third Tuesday of the month at 9 AM in the Coliseum Central Conference Room.
In addition to the monthly Security Committee meetings, quarterly retail and hospitality security meetings are held to discuss security observations and trends with key stakeholders. Security Camera Grant Program
To help Coliseum Central Business Improvement District (DISTRICT) business and property owners enhance the safety of their property, the DISTRICT has begun a Security Camera Grant program.
Security Improvement Grant
The Security Improvement Grant matches up to $2,500 of physical improvements to enhance the level of security and safety of businesses or public spaces. A Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) survey must be conducted by the Hampton Police Division Community Relations (727-6574) to be eligible for funding.
